There are 3 groups of verbs in French. In the first one, there are regular verbs ending in -er.

Conjugation
Rule 1: To conjugate in the present, one must replace -er with one of the following endings: -e, -es, -e, -ons, -ez, -ent.
Here's an example with the verb jouer (to play):
Je joue | Nous jouons |
Tu joues | Vous jouez |
Il, elle, on joue | Ils, elles jouent |
Pronunciation
Rule 2: When speaking, we can't hear any difference between the different forms except with the endings in -ons and -ez.
